Turbo Lagg

Also cut out the main exhaust box replacing it with a straight through pipe - this drastically reduces the back pressure and then when you increase the fuelling via the boost compensator it picks up well from low down - with a bit of tweaking I have very little turbo lag :)

After I did some investigation, I saw my exhaust manifold is cracked. Will this cause turbo lagg?

Can u be more specific.

When are you hearing turbo spool up?

You will always have some lag.

Can't say as I notice any lag in mine, just starts pulling and builds. The A8, now that had lag, but it was worth the wait :p

Boost at lower rpm's is dictated by the amount of fuel put in initially, quite simply more smoke low down = lowering the boost threshold (or what is often wrongly referred to as lag) Adjusting the fuel pump will have the most effect, its that or resize the turbo.
