Vacuum brake switch

Hi all,
Even though the car stops normally, the brakes warning light on the
dashboard has been coming up for some time. It used to stay on for a
shorter or longer while but never continuously.
I left the LC in the car park for two weeks and now I can see it is on
all the time.
The brake fuild level is OK, there's vaccum present (I haven't a
suitable gauge to measure it, though), electrical connection to the
switch is OK (the light goes off when it's disconnected - I'd have
thought it should be the other way round, but it's a Toyota - I
wouldn't understand!).
So, the finger of logic points to the switch. Am I right?

Hi Roman,
I think the switch on the handbrake operates the same warning light too.
Cheers,
Craig.

Random thought, have you checked the brake lights at the back - ISTR
that there being a relationship between the brake lights at the back
and the one on the dash.
