Vehicle Identifiaction Number (Paint Code) and Hard top Conversion

Multi thread; question 1 (VIN)
Does anyone have insight to VIN's and the paint codes? I've been trying to decipher the color of my new 72 FJ 40. It's yellow, but under the fenders is some Red, and I have some green on other spots. OK that there are replacements but want to go back to the factory color.

Is there a Toyota site that can help?

Next question: adding a Hardtop
I am new to FJ40's so sorry for this question (before everyone chuckles ). I have the soft top. Can I purchase (I have seen the tops ($$$$$$$) a hard top and the panels, and attach them without modification? is that common?

yes you can just put the hardtop on, but make sure if you buy one that they give you, roof panel, 2x side panels, 2x rear doors, 2x front door bars 1x rear door bar.

I really appreciate it, thank you. This will help. I'm on my way back home so can look at the VIN tag and get the code. Yes, Antwerp is historical and very friendly. The Belgians are nice folks.
