hello,
does anybody know if the ecu wire looms are the same in a 1996 Colorado 1kzte, as a 2000 prado 1kzte intercooled,

and did the ecu's ever change in the prado or is there only one part number for ecu for the intercooler,

reason i ask is i'm wanting to put a engine from a 2000 prado into my 1996 colorado, and the machanic has looked at it today and says the ecu's plugs are different, as in theres more plugs, i wanted to keep the intercooler really, but i think changing hole loom be a big job
The prado is a auto and Colorado is manual

thanks richard

And do autos and manuals have different ecu's, if they do will my ecu out of my Colorado work with the intercooled engine from the prado?
or will the prado auto ecu work in the manual colly? i read that they will work but needs to be wired so it thinks its got the auto box on it?

after some reading on net i think the auto ecu will work in the manual but i need to wire it so it thinks its in park or N,
Is this correct?

any help would be good
Thanks
