Does the small black hose operate the EGR butterfly valve?
I'll work out how to hilight it if necessary.
Does it operate the BValve by vacuum?
Cheers

Prolly not...
the brown VSV valve connected to that hose has only one connection, so it has no vacuum source to swirch on. it's probably a venting valve...
but it may stop it from working if the hose has a hole in it, maybe where that rub mark is, or some other issue with that brown vsv.
for actuation supply, look for a second port on the egr valve, leading to another vsv.
the electrical thingy on the top is a position indicator

There is another small bore pipe in that area with a small in line 'gas' filter that goes to the throttle body that never seems to get changed.
Normally grey, sometimes white, my original was grey, the replacement white.
You can see it on the right, towards the back near the egr valve without removing the intercooler cover.
