The tachometer on my HJ62 Series Toyota Landcruiser is not working. I've been told that it is a sensor that needs to be replaced. Has anyone got any information on this at all?
I have a 1983 HJ60 and was told sensor was faulty and would cost over $200 for the part !!
Pulled the taco out of the dash and had a fellow in Nerang Qld who repairs electrical components and instruments look at it and he found a crack in the circuit board at the back and fixed it for $80. That was two years ago and still works perfectly.
I think the sensor in down around the Transfer case area ?
Good luck
