Remote locking

Morning all, a very odd and irritating thing has started this week, I noticed after taking the dogs out on Monday the cenral locking had engaged, thinking I had done it i never gave it tooo much thought, however same again next day and so on, I have worked out the locks activate every time I lift the bottom tail gate and it kicks in at the very point of lift every time, just about 3/4 the way up, I can hear a relay or something in the rear off side, it dosent do it when lowering the tail gate on on the way up, and it does it every time any ideas? Not familiar with 100 series, but broken loom wire from tailgate to body with constant 'bending' back and fore ?
