Hi all.

I'm new to LCs - just got myself a 2001 105 series 1HZ, 230Ks, and pretty excited.

It seems in good shape but every service after about 80K were done by the owner, so I don't really know what has been done when - so my approach is to pretty much service as much as I can in the next couple of months. I'm ok on the tools and pick up things pretty quickly, but very knew to these vehicles obviously.

Buy I'm a bit perplexed looking at the Toyota maintenance schedule and it says to replace "steering knuckle, drag link, kingpin, center arm and steering linkage grease (vehicles with rigid front suspension)" every 5K or 3 months. What maintenance are they referring to here? Surely not a full knuckle rebuild?
