Nice job Chris.

As mentioned before though. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action more

Just a quick one for those that will not see her in the flesh in a couple of weeks time. I have loads and loads of pictures and will do a full write up at some point in the near future but hope you will all be happy with a few pics of the (pretty much) finished product. Just need to finish off my bumpers now. The 3 measurements are 28" to underside of sill, 45" to underside of front arch trim and 46" to underside of rear arch trim........ENJOY.......

Nice work Chris.

Any pics of it with you lifting a wheel with the forklift? I'd be very interested to see how the suspension/axles flex. :icon-cool:

I thought the overall width of the 80 series Axles would be wider, guess not!

Pretty impressive work in quick time as well, good Job!

Well

Had the Gal out for her first play at the Lincomb weekend. Those that were there surely couldn't miss the ear to ear grin of my face for most of the weekend. After spending Saturday morning thinking the rear locker was working fine I ploughed her though things I thought I had no chance with. Obviously the tyres have been a massive help in the conditions. Saturday afternoon I realised the rear locker wasn't working so fixed that and she turned into a whole new beast. Pootling around most places like it was the M1.

Took Andy Lomas for a trek through the woods on Sunday morning and the majority was just devoured.

There are still a couple of issues with her and she will be having further surgery.

Firstly there is the issue with the steering whereby anything above 40 she gets pretty scary to drive. All that will be involved in that though should just be a little tweaking of the power steering pump and getting the tracking set up right.

Then I think she is definately a tad underpowered running those huge tyres so I'm on the look out noe for a Lexus LS400. I think 250bhp and 260 ft lb of torque in a SWB Collie should be just about enough.

Old ones are so cheap I'd imagine you could buy a complete one, take the bits you need and make a profit parting out the rest.

I have a 1UZ-FE 4.0 V8 for sale, complete with an Autobox , would you be interested in buying it? It came out from a LS400.

Do you have the loom and ECU beau? And how much are you looking for?
