    Project time!

Hi Clive! I don't haul really heavy trailers with my 80, I borrow a truck for that as there are more than enough of them here in the USA. :icon-rolleyes: So many in fact that I sold mine as there was no point in keeping it when my friends all seem to have one. This will be more for cargo...

    Project time!

Inspired by a post from Kerrye in 2010, I have decided to embark upon the same project for myself. Time to put a receiver on the front of my truck.

Center Diff Lock light not engaging and front and rear locker not working

The damnedest thing happened yesterday. I engaged the CDL while driving about 30mph and it engaged and the light came back on. It's been working ever since. I have no idea if doing it with some speed helped or what happened there, but I'll take it.

Center Diff Lock light not engaging and front and rear locker not working

Hello again! My 1993 FZJ80 has developed a new quirk. When I engage the center diff lock the light does not come on. I know the locker is working, I can hear it and feel it in how the truck handles. When that occurs the front and rear lockers will not engage. Occasionally if I turn the...

    Quick question about oxygen sensors

Well, it would be except the nuts seem to have corroded into a shapeless mess. I forgot my Cruiser used to live near the ocean. Oops!

    Quick question about oxygen sensors

I'm guessing you are correct. I may also have assumed there were two because the 03 Dodge Dakota I just worked on had two that needed replacing. THAT is a job I never want to do again. This looks to be much, much easier.

    Quick question about oxygen sensors

You know, I never thought about it. The code said #2 so I assumed there were two. I'll have to go under the truck and look. I may be about to feel very foolish.

    Quick question about oxygen sensors

Hi all. My 93 told me that I need to replace the #2 oxygen sensor. I can't seem to find anything to tell me which one that is, and with the price of the things I want to make sure I replace the right one. Could someone tell me which one is #1 and which is #2? Thanks for the help!

    Itty Bitty Road Trip

Nah, I'd rather let it stay on to remind me of the problem. I'm pretty sure it's an O2 sensor or a vacuum issue as it only comes on under hard acceleration. When you reset the engine light it stays off until you really step on it again. I need to check it out in case it might save me that...

    Itty Bitty Road Trip

End result is 2548 miles on the pavement and 10 on a dirt road near Big Sur. The check engine light is back on and the air conditioning belt needs to be tightened. Other than that everything ran smoothly. The truck returned between 12.5 and 16.2 mpg US depending on traffic conditions.

Bad ending to my holiday week

So happy for you! I'm guessing that the fuel saved while the 80 was in the shop paid for the repairs? :icon-biggrin:
