It's a good idea if you do a lot of heavy trailer manouvering. What do you tow, caravan, boat? I had a tow ball mount on the front of one of my cars well before I got my 80 and found it very useful for boat launch and recovery, but I don't use a trailer anymore.

I don't haul really heavy trailers with my 80, I borrow a truck for that as there are more than enough of them here in the USA.
So many in fact that I sold mine as there was no point in keeping it when my friends all seem to have one. This will be more for cargo, bicycles, maybe a winch, etc. Perhaps even a small snow plow depending on where I end up and what suspension work is done on the Cruiser.
