new brake pipe fitted and new master cylinder (£138) also fitted as a result of system going dry crap ruins the seals in the master cylinder (so the garage says?)
now the brakes are shite pedal goes all the way down like there is air in the system? i don't get any brakes until the...
car in the garage to have a new brake pipe fitted so thats the brakes almost sorted.
now for the surging and loss of power has anyone had any dealings with a fuel cut off valve?
I've read that these can cause the same symptoms ?
jake m i was having the same problem before i replaced the tank its just got worse !
i know when i took the handbrake off after being stood for 2 weeks they where stuck shayne so i just drove forwards then reversed then i could here it free up
nearly parked it in the living room of this house...
managed to make it home engine management light came on once going up a small hill. then going round a corner pressed the brake guess what? no brakes foot right to the floor
Right guys took her out for a long not good soon as I get to around 2000 rpm she starts dropping revs and surging if I try to accelerate through it get worse then a puff of blue smoke out the exhaust
Takes for ever to get to 40mph cause I have to accelerate ever so softly

beau i disent realise that the gauge stayed at the last known level :oops:
i will have to wait and see when the fuel goes down .

jakes my sills look ok its the rear body mounts that are on there way out .
swiss cheese comes to mind there Bob ,credit to you for having a go at that pal there is many a folk that would have condemned that to the scrap heap in the sky :clap:.
well finished the tank put the 50 ltrs of fuel...
pickup pipes solid which is a big surprise :fearscream:
tank all plumbed in just the straps to fasten up .
having trouble with the fuel gauge now still reading 2/3rds full as it was when i drained it
checked it with the multi meter on the ohms setting before i fitted it all seemed ok
i can't weigh up why the fuel gauge is stuck in the same place it was before i removed the tank Andy?

semi fitted the replacement tank today buttoned everything up apart from the tank straps because i wanted to check make sure the fuel gauge was working correctly ,so i put the key in switched the ignition on locked at the gauge and it was still at 2/3rds full same as it was when i last...
