    Air con help

Fitting the new pipes is a super easy job. I would suggest fitting them yourself then simply booking a re-gas which any AC place will do.

    Some Good Guys Out There!

I love that front axle. I have been looking at an adaptor that allows the H233 high pinion Patrol differential to be fitted in the 80 axle. Uses an ARB locker with 80 series side gears to work with the 80 axles. My biggest concern was knowing who could do the work for me but that company looks...

What Are the Most Essential Upgrades for an 80 Series Used in Overlanding?

Yep, this. Baseline service is more important than any mods. Much more than just oil and filters. Consider front axle rebuild, all suspension bushings, check UJs, check cooling system, all new belts and hoses etc….

    Conversion time

I will follow this with interest. Is exactly what I would like to do. Wink4x4 do a kit for matching the 8HP to the FTE. Probably the best diesel engine and auto transmission combo you can put in an 80.

I Need help and advice with replacement Canvas for Popup Roof.

If the canvas itself is leaking I would suggest requesting the spec of the canvas used. Either way, if the seams are sealed as you say, it may be possible to completely resolve the issue with a proper canvas waterproofing treatment.

I Need help and advice with replacement Canvas for Popup Roof.

I would second Gr8Yota. Definitely seal the seams and treat the fabric and check again. What fabric did they use and what is the hydrostatic head?

    Site 'Search' option

Yeh, I get the same. I either get no results or just the most recent. Search won’t locate any of my older posts

    Air con help

Hi Luis, I had same issue. The aluminium ac pipe had become porous. I sent my pipe to these guys and they repaired it. I asked for the porous section to be cut out and replaced with flexible hose to make refitting easier. If needed they can replace the entire pipe with hose, just using the pipe...

    Overheating 1HDT

I wouldn’t assume you’ve got a problem that needs fixing until you’ve checked and verified what the temperature is doing. My suggestion would be to fit an aftermarket coolant temp gauge. Drive for a bit and get some good data on your temps. That’ll tell you if have a problem that needs looking...

Also worth a search for solenoids for AW450-43LE. They are the same and often found cheaper.

    Rust Repairs and Respray

Whilst I had it off the truck, I have taken the opportunity to spruce up the ARB. It is not in great shape with some significant rust in the side quarters, so I cleaned it all up, used rust converter and it’s had 8-10 coats of Hammerite satin black. Again, not great, but a 100 times better than...
