Thanks! My theory is that if people are able to service their own cars with lots of TLC they will be around for many years and require lots of OEM parts so what they lose on one they gain on another, not to mention the sales pitch from us type of owners!

Purpleaki, Can you actually measure the height change relative to the ground? Looking at the measurements (i never plugged mine in when repairing) they seem proportionate ie 100/side avg, in the manual there is a method to measure the actual resistance of the height control and set them that...

I remember having a problem with my wipers making a similiar noise on my last LC, i took the mechanism out and cleaned it all up and greased the joints, it was fine after that. Dont recall any difficulties getting the unit out? Simon
