Loss of power under hard acceleration

Had very similar symptoms on my 150, was a blocked engine bay fuel filter – easy cheap fix.

    PCS button (Pre Colision System)

At something of a tangent …….presumably your 150 is the 2.8 diesel version, Psyxologos ? Can I ask how you are finding that – my 3.0 is coming up towards 100K miles faultlessly but the 2.8 engine looks good……

    Towball question please...

Any else towing with a 150 LC4 please? I am struggling a bit with towball height – I tow a Brain James trailer with race car and wheels etc, about 1,500 kgs. With tow ball set at 17.5” (that’s from ground to top of towball when LC unladen), trailer is a bit too nose down when loaded. If I lift...

    sat nav

Hi Glyno, on my LC4 150, if I have the map screen on for navigation with the exterior lights on then hit the ‘Disp’ button, I can adjust both contrast and brightness individually – that’s on a 2010 model.

    getting comfy

Just to add my two pennyworth, Glyno, I found best position is to have left leg quite stretched out to reach footrest – i.e. whole seat a bit further back than perhaps at first appears right….then move seat height and backrest up and steering wheel out till you’re driving position is right. I...

    lc5 surging

Hi Glyno, don’t think it’s a problem at all, I imagine the engine is just running like that to drive the compressor………..I’ve had 3 120’s as well and they all do the same thing as I remember.

    lc5 surging

When idling the revs on mine rise and fall slightly when the air con is on – have you tried switching the A/C off to see if that stops it, Glyno?

    Are they really as good?

Hi Mr. Puddock, I have a 3 litre diesel 5 speed 150, great vehicle, tows 2 tons faultlessly and decent c 30 mpg consistent fuel economy when nottowing (mainly motorway but some urban) – but interested to hear how the new2.8 engine and 6 speed auto box work out, please keep us posted.....

Anyone got a 100 who lives close to me?

Hi John, not sure if you've considered a 150 as an alternate to the 100 or 120, but I am near you and you’d be welcome to try my LC4 150 if that would help?

    Upgrading from 120

Initial impressions having had the 150 LC4 3 days and done 500 miles: - Much nicer on road than 90 or 120 series – KDSS delivers a more civilised drive but whole vehicle still seems built like a tank and likely to outlive me. - Proper Sat Nav, Bluetooth and top flight stereo. - Quieter and more...

    Upgrading from 120

You're right, GOK, but I just fancied the change - having had 3 * 90 series and now the 120. Have today committed to white LC4 150, 50K miles and 2010 MY, collecting Thursday..........

    Upgrading from 120

Am looking at upgrading my 2009 120 Invincible (115K miles and rising fast) to 2010 150 model – either LC4 (probably) or LC5 spec if pricing works. Any specific things to watch out for on 150, can anyone please advise? Many thanks Stuart

    Not starting

Had a similar problem on a 90 series – was running faultlessly then suddenly engine would turn but not start. Turned out to be the circuitry which recognises the chip in the ignition key had failed so the system didn’t allow the engine to fire – it’s part of the security. Only solution for me...
