Sorry what were you looking for?

Yes, my green 80 passed its MOT without so much as a second look at anything. Third 80 in 2 months that I have taken to them. I think they're wondering if I have any more ha ha.

Utterly straight from the tip of the exhaust to the headlights. I was there and back in under 40 minutes. I think the brakes took them aback a bit. There were mutterings such as "Now them's f****g brakes!"

There were also discussions about what it would have been like if I'd rolled up in a Disco. But I think that they could tell from my face that this was unlikely to ever happen

Chris

always a good day when your motor passes it's test

Nice one Chris  Although I wouldn't expect anything less. She always flew through with flying colours and comments that he was unlikely to find anything wrong with this! I bet your enjoying the working handbrake!

One of the tips for a healthy handbrake is regular use, it's all too easy with the majority of 80's being autos, to just stick it in park and leave it, but inactivity doesn't do it any favours. (Chris, this comment isn't aimed at you. Just a general tip, as people always commented on the green trucks working handbrake).

Enjoy you cruising. :icon-cool:

Ha ha ha, Scott you will love this, but the only work I had to do to get it ready for the MOT was to do the handbrake. So sorry, but it didn't even hold on the flat. OK wheels off, two clicks on the cog and tension on the cabin lever and it was so solid that you could not move at all under power. It was like setting the wheels in concrete.

I agree completely about using it. Keep it free and moving. It did work well before I know but for some reason, maybe the tiny bit off off road at Lincomb to get into the camping field did for it. When adjusted it's a great handbrake, but it's so flawed in its design.

Anyway, all done for another year. Can't see it failing anytime in the next few years coming up

You took it off road! :icon-eek::eusa-naughty::icon-eek::icon-rolleyes: What were you thinking! :icon-biggrin::icon-biggrin:
Tip number 2, readjust after use off road!!!!

As I'm not a member in the circle of knowledge on this one Chris, I'm not sure I believe any of this without a photo or two...:eusa-naughty:

You want to see a photo of the MOT certificate Clive? That's just weird.

Well, sad though it may sound, I haven't seen an MOT certificate for a good 20 years, 12 years out of the UK and the rest was a string of company cars that never saw 3 years old, so that may be more interesting to me than you may think.

The tester? errr no :eusa-naughty:, unless she was the subject of the post title :pray:

Maybe I'm missing something here, always ready to fall victim to you guys... the Green one, that's what I want to see.... and you know it :icon-rolleyes:
