New owner and already hooked

Hi everyone,
Proud new owner of 97 80 Series 4.2 24V Manual GX

I have contacted Overland cruiser's to have the car checked over as there are a few things I think need checking and also so I can help out with the service and front hub refresh.
Have not been under the hood of a vehicle since I rebuilt the engine on my 1989 BMW M3. I'm hoping it will come back to me!!
Looking forward to over landing through Europe, Eastern Europe and Northern Africa (probably only Morocco!) next year.

At the moment I am between SW London and Pulbrough W Sussex. I only have to deal with the pot holes in London so not too much trouble anymore.I was looking for someone in Sussex but I believe having looked on the Forum that the one guy has now moved to France.I have the capabilities in Sussex, Tools and Jack stands etc but just need a little guidance before I can or have the time to take on maintenance myself.The one thing I will try to do myself is the front axle adjust but I would prefer to do this after the front axle rebuild. I will do some more research on the rebuild as I am sure this is probably something that can be done at home.I don't know the Cruiser that well yet so was just apprehensive about starting something only to find there were other problems and then being in over my head.I'll keep you updated as to what I manage to accomplish myself.Unfortunately though, work is priority at the moment and I am out of the country for the week so the Cruiser is sitting at home taking up 1.5 parking spaces!
