Just done 2200 miles in France and over the Pyrenees to Spain. When I got back to UK I filled up at the same pump as when we left to get an accurate figure as to amount of diesel used. 30.75 mpg. Last year was 30.50.

The 80 has done 149.000 miles and all I've done to the fuel system is change the filter and adjusted the pump timing. Not bad !!

You say that you filled/refilled at the same pump before and after your 2200 mile trip to get accurate figures etc. Do you have a range of 2k+ miles?

Did a few trails but nothing very exciting.

I have the standard tank so filled up 8 times to make sure I always had a fairly full tank. I find the car takes varying amounts fuel depending on the slope of the forecourt hence returning to the original pump to get as accurate a figure as possible overall.
