Now I do like a knife and in fact other than tents and stoves, it's the thing I have probably have more of. Oh and rifles, tools, music... well look you get the idea. I have a LOT of knives. But this dropped on the mat today.

Is it special? Well not hugely but Mora make really good working knives, cheap. They don't make cheap knives. But this thing has more mounting options that the Karma Sutra. It's a great knife for the vehicle. You can do pretty much anything with it other than chop logs.

You can screw it or nail it to something. You can velcro it around something, put it on you belt or even lash it to your gearshift. It comes with multi mounting options and everything is included except screws.

It might not be a 'forever' knife, but for chopping carrots, tie wraps, tent guys and killing the un-dead, it's a great little tool. Handy to fit to your Gullwing molle panel too . And it can go in the dishwasher. I got it here..

I’ve got a similar less smart version with less tie down gubbins. You’ve just given me an ide for the very first thing to fit to me’ gullwing’s molle panel. Thanks Chris.

They do make rather good knives, in all price ranges.

Thanks for the tip Chris - just bought one for next day delivery on amazon.

Like that! I have a bit of a thing for knives too! Looks like one for the collection does that :)

I’ve watched a few reviews by this lass
Seems to be a wee bit useful in the wild With a knife. Can’t think why I started watching her… :shifty:

I carry a parang in the fishing tackle which is very handy for clearing brush for access to the waters edge and cutting kindling etc. Bought it from a car boot sale for £10 years ago. There’s no name on it but it will take a very keen edge. To big to carry on a belt though.
On the domestic front we’ve had some expensive carvers over the years but we’ve just bought some cheap ceramic knifes and they are the sharpest we’ve ever used and seem to beholding their edge very well. Probably nothing like robust enough for field work though.
