    EU Travel Pass

The passport does have that power. But criminal and other checks take a while. Maybe only a few minutes, but if everyone needs a few minutes to get through immigration those queues get very long, very quickly. This is just doing the checks before you arrive, and there is a small admin fee for...

    2022 injectors stuffed already

Well, got it back yesterday morning, so pretty quick to turnaround. And all seems back to normal. They even managed to wash about 75% of the bodywork and rinse the driver's rubber floor mat.

    2022 injectors stuffed already

I think it's an entirely different engine to the 120 / early 150. At least I can tell you it looks very different, to the extent I couldn't find the oil filter and had to Google the location (accessed from underneath the car now). It's a lot quicker, and more fuel efficient than my 120. But my...

    2022 model recall

It's Land Cruiser not a Hilux. Nothing as mechanically oikish as button to reset the trip. That'll be somewhere in touchscreen menu probably. I haven't even worked out where the regular odometer is yet, other than the 3 seconds it pops up for when you press the start button.

    2022 model recall

There are definitely operator presence switches. If you are the passenger you can hover over the seat for a second and the alarm resets. But it doesn't believe drivers can hover. I have heard it can be disabled with TechStream. I just havent got round to reinstalling that on a new laptop.

    2022 model recall

According to the letter, disabling the start is to conform to "UN regulations" which sounds quite a lot like cow poo. EU, possibly. UN, I think you're making it up. Or does UN mean something other than United Nations in this context? Anyway much more annoying is the stupid tyre pressure warning...

    2022 model recall

First ever new car. First ever recall notice. The software that is supposed to prevent you starting the car if you run out of Ad Blue doesn't work. Wonder how many people will go through the inconvenience of visiting the dealer, at best getting a courtesy Yaris for the day, to get that "fixed" ?

For the avoidance of doubt, I wasn't driving. I was holding the phone, and I've got long arms. Got 99.9mpg with a 30mph average for 45 minutes yesterday. Top of the Col du L'Iseran to Bourg St Maurice. :sunglasses:

Is that a new, new Jimny. A commercial one? I'd have one if you could ever pay RRP rather than a few grand over. Only done 10 miles home from the dealer so far. Feels a bit more awkward to judge the size because the bonnet is higher, but I'm sure that's just being unfamiliar with it. Doesn't feel as chuckable as my 120, but that could be familiarity as well. Does feel a step up in comfort and ride quality...

Further replying to my own post. Got my new 150 yesterday and it has these plugs fitted into the large holes on the outward facing vertical sides of the rear chassis rails. NEED A 4X4 WITH VERY LOW RANGE FOR DOWNHILL ENGINE BREAKING ADVICE PLEASE.

I agree the 120 low ratio first isn't low enough, certainly with the auto box, and my LC3 has no HDC. My Jimny is much better coming down really steep stuff. Probably helps it's less than half the weight too. But I think it depends why you're going up the steep slopes in the first place and what...

Got 3D mats in my 120 and they're great. Been there 10 years. Jet wash clean. They have them for the Lexus GX which I think is...

I followed Bailey's pictures, but I used the workshop manual for torque. And reused the bolts. I remember that 13Nm being awkward because I think it's 17mm and I didn't have a 17mm 1/4" drive socket for my smallest torque wrench that went that low.

Has someone got the page from the workshop manual? Looking here (page E39) and this is for an early 1KD-FTV engine, those bolts are torqued to 21.6Nm and are not marked as one-time use. Damaged anti-roll bar on 120 Series

Amayama (in Dubai) have them via Japan but that's going to be in excess of £1200 with VAT and a bit of import duty. I'd say they are very safe to buy from but no idea how long to get it. Damaged anti-roll bar on 120 Series

Mine went in exactly the same place a couple of years ago. Local agri fabrication place charged me 50 quid to put it back. BUT, if that has gone everything else on the axle is probably well gone too. The top arm turrets. The spring mounts. If I was off overlanding I would get a new axle case...

I think the concern with the pipes is that they can crack. You need to be gentle with them when you take them off, not pulling at them. Bit late now, but Toyodiy is great for this sort of thing. You can search based on your VIN and find all the part numbers it was manufactured with. As noted sometimes you then find parts have been superceded. Searching on Partsouq or Amayama usually throws up the new numbers.
