Mine was doing this is was one duff solenoid & one blocked one. Easy enough job to change & clean the pan out. Finding the right solenoid was the issue.
Nice little job, however you might want to check with some wool tufts that its letting air out not in. That region of the bonnet is a low pressure zone, it would not surprise me at all if your intercooler is in fact an interheater - currently.
Turning your vent round the other way might be...
I'm quite liking the JDM type RV's some of them are very neat

Well having acquired another 80 keeper the old one is looking rather spare! Think we might have a project on our hands...
After a couple of winter ski trips in the Bongo which was great with the webasto heater! It was sold & I bought a compact Hymer motorhome & have gotten used to a few...
Yes its the cable down the bulkhead to the pan, its useable as is but its added to list of jobs (not that I've found many)

Just going over it as we speak, how people keep things so tidy for so long I don't know! History file is fairly epic including Japanese history to 60k, only servicing & service items required by the looks of things.

Could well be a candidate for BEB job as its...
This popped up for sale similar spec to an old one I had a JDM VX Limited it's as original & mint as you will ever find inside & out!. No rust & as far as I can tell is completely original apart from wheels & stereo.
Has a winch cover, but no winch appears ever fitted. It genuinely is...
I'm after the cover & catches for the nearside rear boot storage compartment in grey for an early 80 (think they are all the same). My new purchase is missing one. Happy to pay for a nice one posted. Need the catch parts too.
Who's got one going spare?

An update, I raped an old Soarer gearbox for a similar solenoid, however its all back in and working sort of... I forget to check if the solenoid was normally open or closed doh & its the wrong way round. In principle its working again, have all gears & overdrive just everything is back to front...
I had the dreaded auto box shenanigans, would pull away in 2nd only & go to 3rd but & no lock up. Pulled the codes & got a 63 & 64.
Two of the solenoids were duff in the transmission. However one was just blocked with crud, cleaned the valve parts & its working fine again. Second one is dead...
