Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop (anywhere!!)???

I would live to give it a five star paint job, but then it would get scratched on the next trip, and our kids would continue to dirty the rear… so i can’t see the point of a 7 layer showroom job (i got quoted 22k in surrey) for a car that won’t sell for double that (when i’m dead and my wife...

Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop (anywhere!!)???

Hi All, Can anyone recommend a good bodyshop that will work on an 80 series...? I want to do a Raptor coat, but also need to sort some rust out - so needs to be a shop that knows metal and ideally has done Raptor before... So far, speaking to: - Tricketts (they have done rust work for me in...

    Is this normal?? Leaking sills?

That’s the question I’m wondering @frank rabbets - is there any downside to taking the rear grommets out? I guess the flip side is the accumulation of dust. But as @Gr8Yota Says - the end of a cable tie should help keep the holes clear… If I ever get to Iceland can put them back!

What “series” is this? And what kind of kids could one do for Overlanding??

@Jacob100 that’s kinda why I think the Hilux is maybe a good compromise. The 2016+ models are Euro6 and you can still build a good rig with one. It’s not a Cruiser. But you can still live & go into a city and do stuff & also getting off the beaten track outdoors.

What “series” is this? And what kind of kids could one do for Overlanding??

Sticking with the 80 for now. If we can’t escape London before ULEZ costs are prohibitive then it may have to be sold. Hopefully not. I love it. If we do have to sell, then after moving will look for options - Japan import / 70 series / Hilux / another UK 80 For now it’s undercover ;-)

What “series” is this? And what kind of kids could one do for Overlanding??

Thanks folks - I’m basically asking the question: Is the 100 series the last land cruiser in the UK suitable for Overlanding? If so, then for longevity the Hilux is probably the only other viable Yota option, or importing a 70 series from Aus or SA. Us for ULEZ, that is solved by moving out of...

    Reputable / decent bodywork

This is closest to what I’m going for. Kut snake flares are only ‘cos I’m led to believe that if I take the fenders off it’ll fail an MOT. But looks like some folks are getting away with it if tyre size is appropriate (285’s ??). I can’t seem to find a definitive answer here. My main worry...
