    Just cleaned my MAF... wow!

I'm sure it's been said a million times on here, though the search brings up but a few older threads, I just cleaned the MAF, mass airflow sensor on my 2007 LC120 D-4D yesterday and took the truck for a decent run for a couple of hours on some very twisty roads. What a huge difference! For all...

    AC 4 wire pressure switch

Good call re waiting for the correct details for the vehicle, better choice I think. Thank you for the tip re valve caps, you are right, I should do something to proctect the valves so I'll get onto it this afternoon. I've been thinking it'll be ok, and probably been a bit lazy if I was honest...

    AC 4 wire pressure switch

Here is the info available on toyodiy.com when I put my vehicle in, single (front only) air con system as opposed to a dual (front and rear) system. It looks like they only sell the whole tube assembly... There were four air con system options available from the factory I believe, single...

    AC 4 wire pressure switch

Hi StarCruiser I have a 2007 LC4 120 D-4D with front only air con, not front and rear, and only have 2 wires coming out of the pressure switch. As you can see from the photos, there appears to be a holder for a clip on the rear of the switch, maybe another two wires could emanate from there, I...

    120 2003-2007 as overlanding vehicle??

Slightly off thread, apologies, but replying to joeyjune's comment above: https://www.landcruiserclub.net/community/threads/what-a-mistake-that-was-advice-to-come-back-required.147060/ Reading the above will perhaps confuse you more, then again it might also clear a few things up. Nothing...

    120 2003-2007 as overlanding vehicle??

Only the LC5 has the air con tied to the radio system, the LC3 and 4 don't. There are more than a couple of threads on here regarding Bluetooth/DVD/reverse camera installations in different models, if you use the search function you'll find all the info you need. I recently installed one in my...

Oil leak from behind timing belt cover

Had a VW Golf GTI a million years ago, those timing belts needed changing religiously at 60,000 miles. At the 60,000 mile service with 59,000 and change miles on the clock I instructed the garage to change it please. The mechanic said no need, the belt looks great. I said please change it, he...

Central Locking not working in the morning

I had the same issue a few weeks back with my 120 Prado, didn't matter which battery operated key fob I used of the two I have, neither would work in the morning, but would in the afternoon. Using the metal keys, the system worked fine any time of day. Replacing the battery in each key fob...

    Touchscreen system in a 120

Hey Dan www.caraudiodirect.co.uk and www.caraudiocentre.co.uk both sell and install double din systems, and are about the cheapest in the U.K. I recently bought one from car audio direct and fitted it here overseas (replaced a broken double din my vehicle vendor left me with having stole the...

    intermittant abs/vsc lights

Gave mine a real good pressure wash underneath a couple of months ago to get dust and monsoon dirt out of everywhere - the dash stayed lit up like a Christmas tree after I started her up; lots of the lights were still on after 24 hrs, and specifically the abs/vsc lights over 48! Road tested...

I have a 2007 120 LC4 D-4D 5 speed auto, and really enjoy it. My recommendation would be to go for the highest spec you can find, upgraded leather, heated electric seats with adjustable lumbar support, easily convertible radio to double din for reversing cam (£300 will get you a great set up,)...

LC 120 at 13,000 feet above sea level

LC 120 at 13,000 feet above sea level

Hi Tony & Crispin Good question, and one that I can't answer truthfully as I have never driven the truck at sea level. I live at 7,350' above sea level and the maximum speed limit out of town is a hair-whooshing 50 kmph, so she never really gets a workout! However, the 120 certainly didn't...
