    Fitting a 2" suspension lift

Finally got around fitting my suspension.. both front and rear springs got out without compressors, that is after undoing arb & panhard rod on front and flexy brake hose on rear. But new springs needed compressors to get in, just a little compress on the front and a little more on the back...

    Fitting a 2" suspension lift

@ Gav Peter ... pretty confident I can do it myself, have done much more then just changing some suspension. Thing is this is my first ever truck.. so I'd rather ask then rest it on somewhere which is unsafe or which can give me trouble during work. For instance, a mechanic friend of mine told...

    LJ70 2L-T Engine Upgrade

I agree with ben, now that you're going to put in money and effort to upgrade your truck I'd opt for something more powerful... Another cheaper option would be trying to find a 2.8 3L engine as found in the hilux... now that you have a 2L-T engine you can use its turbo system to turbo charge...

    Fitting a 2" suspension lift

Hello guys, I've just bought an Ironman 2" lift kit for my LJ79 and am planning on fitting it in the next couple of days. It seems they're pretty straight forward to install.. provided the axles articulate enough for the springs to get in without compressors  Will they ? Please...

    LJ79 sticky brakes problem

Changed all flexible hoses; problem still persists. Think its the master cylinder that at's fault. Anyone has ever experienced a similar problem ? Maybe its not letting the fluid to return into the reservior thus keeping pressure in the lines..

Hello guys :icon-smile: Currently stuck on a problem with my front brakes.. thought you might give me some advice. Basically after starting and driving for a couple of miles the pedal gets hard and both front brakes start to stick. If I keep on driving the problem gets even worse.. the wheels...

    LJ79 newbie

Thanks Iwan_t24 :icon-biggrin: That is very precious information you've just given me! Cos tomorrow I am planning on buying all the parts for the turbo conversion. Why should I need the sump also ? Is it because of the oil return line ? Can you confirm the following list is all the parts I...

    LJ79 newbie

Hello guys :icon-biggrin: After a lot of searching I managed to buy myself a Land Cruiser, specifically an LJ79. These are exactly like the LJ78 but instead of the 2.4 turbo (2L-T) they have a n/a 2.8ltr (3L). Modification plans: 1. Turbo kit from 2L-T engine 2. 2" Lift kit & 33" tyres 3...

No they don't seem good. Mine are rounded in the corner and deeper. These are good for the Lj70 & 73 but not the 78 & 79.

Hi, I need to replace my RHS tail light lens on my LJ79 since it is broken and soon have to test my van. Today I bought an LJ70 item, thinking they're the same, but unfortunately they're not :( so I returned it to the store. I tried searching online but didn't manage to find any... can you...

New user looking for some info on LJ78

Hello there, My name is David, and I'm from sunny Malta :icon-cool: I'm new to this forum, and also new to Land Cruisers. I've been wanting a LC for a long time now, but since they're quite rare here in Malta I haven't managed to buy one yet. Most models we have here are the 70 & 90...
