    Aux power with ignition off

Hi Guys, Been a while! Just off up the West coast to Cape Wrath on Friday and could do with a permanent power source to run a LED light for the tent, tried a search and no luck! Some posts on other forums about bridging the ACC relay in the engine compartment but mine does not have that relay...

    Front Inner CV Boot!

So Friday came an i was looking forward to escaping the sunshine by spending the time under my cruiser but alas it poured down! Soon as the weather cleared i set to changing the inner CV boot! Love these kerbside repairs! 1) Drained the front transfer box 2)Remove the road wheel then centre...

    Front Inner CV Boot!

Rob Many thanks for the pointers, So are you suggesting that if i dont undo the 35mm hub nut the complete shaft can swing out (still connected to the hub) with enough room to replace the boot? The other tech bit i wasn't quite clear on is keeping the fluid in the diff, i believe it can be...

    Front Inner CV Boot!

Well with just 2 weeks to i set off to Austria and Switzerland, just swapping tyres front to back and noticed my inner CV boot has split  So had a look round and there seems to be a few variants on how this task is done? Actually looking at the job it looks straight forward, so my...

    Sunroof problem

Because i reset it several times and it did the same thing i was expecting a stripped spot on the 'worm' track or the drive sproket but it was fine so i guess it was just a tight spot that grease sorted out?

    Off Road ?

My 120 is very standard except the AT tyres, absolutely brilliant in the snow! Spent a day at Kirton Off Road Centre, brilliant fun but just stay out of the puddles!!! Amazed at how well it manages just about anything!

    Sunroof problem

Managed to get this sorted, 1) Remove trim from the sunroof mechanism 2) Remove the light cluster, this was the tricky part as it took me a while to work out you need to pull down from the window side and not the switch side! 3) Undo the 2 bolts holding the motor in place, this will just drop...

    Sunroof problem

Well its been a while but something had to go wrong! With only 6 weeks to my European tour my sunroof decided to go with a clunk when one of my Scouts decided to meddle! :angry-screaming: Had a look at it and looking at the runners it is clear to see that the left and right are not aligned...

    New accommodation for "local" trips

Andy Best not let our Scouts see a log burner in a tent or they will all want one!! Always like the good old canvas tents, we are still using them and they are 20-30 years old! new dome tents last about 5 years max (although alot lighter for backpacking :icon-biggrin:!!) Simon

    Engine problem with 120

Thinking about it you are quite right, a rattle but quite loud, all the engine has been stripped on the bottom end with new shells, pickup and new oil pump etc. So not really worried in that area it's just very noisy at 6am on a quiet Estate! Sent from my Z10 using Tapatalk

    Engine problem with 120

I have this knocking first thing when i drive up the hill, even the same just after an oil change, if i keep the speed down to 25mph for 5mins it just goes! My new purchase!

Well at long last my luck has run dry :violin: Rear diff pinion bearings are grumbling! Looks like quite an interesting job so might need to do this one in a garage with the weather being a bit iffy! Any words of wisdom from anyone who has tackled this? Thanks Simon

    Cooking egg in potato

Introduction - Campfire cooking Nice topic, as a Scout leader we have played a bit with backwoods cooking, all very basic though. Last one we tried was an egg in an orange, the hardest part is making sure you have the embers no too hot, besides that we managed too cook it ok but i must confess...

    Steering Wheel

I had full digital tracking and camber done on mine and it still seemed to pull a little towards the left so i had it rechecked (not that i don't trust anyone ) and it was all correct so i would side with Chas on this one and put it down to road camber!

    Parking sensors

Archie Assume you have an LC5 with them factory fitted, i bought mine for £25 off eBay and they work a treat and dead easy to fit! Just changed my oil went to 10w/40, this is slightly better at colder temps although it was more based on others experience, Toyota seem to use 5w/30 in the...

Injector well out of spec. What are the dangers?

Rob Sorry i don't know anything about injectors but i am interested in your ODB2 reader! I have a 2005 LC4 and when i looked into this it seems to be some weird form of hybrid from ODB to ODB2 and could not get any response from a reader i bought off ebay other than the type of ODB it was (not...
