Thx for the replies timing belt change me thinks

Hi all have a discussion about my 80 series. This being "Does the 80 series have an non interference engine" ie if the cam belt lets go does the piston hit the valves ? My engine is 4.2 td 12v

Left on at present until I try it offroad, I think I will give it a 1" body lift to sort out the slight rub.

Looks good John, just done mine, I will take some pics later. Wired my Albright in the engine bay high up as I could with a can solenoid as an isolater so I can turn he power on from the cab along with internal controls.

,did mine with clean oil no issue been in for 2k now and I used normal sealant

These are on mine a true 35" no lift at the moment they are fine on the road but i was going for a two inch lift. the fronts are the lowest gap and the rear the highest gaps

I have gone through this only last week my culprit was a wire broken off inside the plug, I would check here first.

If your talking about the 4wd ecu on mine it was on the passenger side foot well on the left. lift up out the kick panel and its on he left 2 them nuts secure it.

not yet still thinking of one lol

I have driven it on these tyres for about 100 miles I am really pleased with the way the truck is on the road no tyre noise I don't feel that I have any gearing issues, may change when I get off road? But on road I can live with this no problem at all, I will be doing a two inch lift next month...

Just put 35" hankook on mine with no lift for on road use at he moment going to go with a 2" lift layer in the month

Ok I will embarrass myself, i was checking the front actuator loom over as I have now eliminated everything else ( massive thank you to Karl ) TOP Man. anyway I found that the wire to the actuator had broken off right inside the plug, so this could of been the issue me thinks, got on the phone...

Hi Just jumped into my 80 and found that the steering turns left and back to centre but i cant turn it right? anybody got any idea,s on this has anyone come across this
