Auto transmission oil change. High mileage. Never changed before

Changed mine at 108,000 miles, along with all other oils that were changeable just so I have a base mileage from where to work in the future. Engine oil had obviously been changed regularly in the past, it looked like all other oils were original. Following the oil change, the automatic gearbox...

    Keys

Well, I find myself needing a new key case again as my replacement knock-off case is starting to crack. There’s a surprise... However, there was something I found out whilst fiddling with the thing that I thought I’d share with you. You can actually take the metal key out of the casing and put...

As TonyP says, if your electronic insides still work fine Tractionman, this is real, real simple. Buy a new blank case/key from ebay as you have done, get the blank key cut to match your old one, put your electronic insides into the case, done! Cost you next to nothing. No reprogramming...

    Rear wash wiper not working.

Hi Tony & Carbonleg, I had two of the three washer pumps not working, all old and corroding inside. A local electrician removed the pumps (two seconds to pull out, leave the bottle in place Carbonleg,) split them, cleaned them, put them back together and they worked beautifully - for 6 months...

    Annoying Vibration at 1500 RPM

Hi John, My 120 had the rattle as described above, a quick recon proved the culprit to be the very same. However, it rattled only in cold weather, never warm or hot weather. I bought the spare clips and foam rubber, then used the rubber for another job and never got round to fixing it as it...

    DRL Daytime Running Lights

Not sure if the positioning of these lights is acceptable in some countries, they fit extremely well into the openings though. £60 to buy in the UK, simple installation, I had to do it. https://www.hids4u.co.uk/LED-Daytime-Running-Lights-Ring-Aurora-BRL0397.html

I had two mid life crises, still regret selling both of them! 1st one was a V8 350 cu in, 350 bhp, did about 12 miles to the US gallon, less than 10 if you stomped on it to properly open up that Quadrajet four barrel carb and hear the car absolutely sing. Pure music! 2nd was a V10 6.8 litre...

    Icky oil pick up

Managed to get to my oil change today having finally found some decent oil. To be honest, I had the local Toyota garage do it (under watchful supervision) as their labour charge for changing the oil, oil filter and fuel filter was a whopping £4.50. Why wouldn't you?! Thankfully the oil strainer...

Do not, I appeal to you, do not underestimate the importance of having those injector seals replaced asap IF the vehicle is subject to the injector seal recall and it hasn't been done. What to buy

The reason I went with a Kenwood unit is because it had 99% of everything I wanted on it for the budget, and because my LC4 already had a Kenwood wiring loom installed by a previous owner. Sorry I can't honestly answer the question for you. It was rather like a small mass of spaghetti though...

Here's mine. The standard size for a double din unit is 7" x 4", that shouldn't change I believe. Different manufacturers make different screen sizes which can confuse the issue, me included, when referencing a 7" double din or 8" double din. New technology has produced bigger real estate...
