    Poop

I feel bad for future campers in remote locations as they might uncover dumped deposits in the dunes. So I've decided the way to go is to use a portable loo and plop into a bag. Then use the very expensive poo powder to absorb.... the poop. Much more considerate for those that use a free camp...

Head light protectors for series 70 import to UK

    Tires for 2 inch lift

I've never wanted to raise my troopy but I had an offer for EFS suspension I couldn't refuse. It's a 2 inch lift and I've not thought before about the wheel and tire set up for this. The present ones are on split rims and skinny hi-miler tires. With a 2 inch lift I think I need something wider...

    Cabmasters Genuine Toyota Parts

No, the prices on the website have been wrong twice. Once he states it was a mistake and then the second time it's because it's 2019 prices, one or both of those statements is "wrong". If Cabmasters are a legitimate company they would sell for the price advertised, not hike them up when they...

    Cabmasters Genuine Toyota Parts

I checked my emails, the tyres were originally advertised at £75 +VAT. When I made inquiries Brian said that is a mistake and they are £125+VAT. Now I see they are £100+VAT on the website so i asked to buy and he says the new 2019 price is £125+VAT. It's incompetence at best, a con at worse...

    Cabmasters Genuine Toyota Parts

I've inquired about buying wheels for my 78 from this company. Then BRIAN has raised the price from what is displayed on the website, on two occasions. So the displayed prices are not the actual prices. Also they quote VAT addition, if you buy from them make sure they give a receipt with a VAT...

Need correct wiring drawing HZJ78 4.2 2000 year

Hi, Thanks for the advice, I checked what I could and everything is well wound into the loom. Wired the multimeter in but nothing broke the short. Some time I'll take the dash off for fun, it looks straight forward. But for now I've rerun the front lights and picked up the rear connection. It...

Need correct wiring drawing HZJ78 4.2 2000 year

Hi, Thanks for the replies, I've found a thread on here from 2013 which has a helpful manual. I found it using google and it sent me back here! Manual hubs prices

Ah, it's a factory option. This troopy was born as an ambulance for an industrial site so didn't really need the 4x4 capacity. It doesn't have diff lock either. It has 2H, 4H and 4L. I want to disengage the hubs in 2H as, I believe, this is economical over long distance and less wear of the...

    Manual hubs prices

I've answered my own question. The cheap ones are fakes made in China. Real AISIM are made in Japan. AISIM are sending me the correct part number and hopefully a vendor. Manual hubs prices

Yes. But why are there 2 AISIMS at different prices. I'm enquiring with euro4x4 and AISIM as i don't think they make an ECO model. The initial response is that the ECO is made in China and half the price of the other. Is the other the real one? I dunno and awaiting reply. But I won't be trudting...

    Manual hubs prices

Hi, Yes i tried them. They don't stock the correct ones. The correct ones are rather expensive. I'll keep looking and try and handle them to see the quality. I was going to change the bolts to anti theft anyway as anything not welded or rivited on cars in South America are stolen. Cheers

do I ditch the split rims?

I've been thinking about those punctures. I can't see how Toyota would fit wheels that result in punctures. There must have been a reason such as rust or a damaged wheel. I think I'll invest in a bead breaker hammer and spare tubes and make sure the rims are not damaged

I bought this cover on Amazon, it's for. T5 VW but I thought I'd give it a go. Potable water bladder suppliers in UK?

Yes I'm thinking the same. I'm going to fit dynamat anyway and some heat insulation as I'm planning a south american trip. The equipment prices look reasonable enough to try it. The space is tight thou. About 100mm width. Can only try.

Potable water bladder suppliers in UK?

I'm thinking of fitting in my troopy 78 between the trim panel and the outer wing in the rear. The 50 litre could do it as long as there are not sharp parts to tear the bladder. looks like they have reduced prices so it's worth an experiment to see if it works. Thanks for the link.

Potable water bladder suppliers in UK?

I thought about stainless, very expensive to buy and I'm not sure keeping it clean would be too much effort if it is not used regularly. The bladder looks good, double lined and designed for the movement of a boat so should be abrasive resistant.

Why the 30A fuses when I don't use them, HZJ78

Hi, I'm fitting an alarm to my troopy but can't see why I have certain 30A fuses. I don't have the correct circuit diagram. The troopy is a 2000 year and doesnt have power windows or diff lock. But the fuse cover shows I have 4x square 30A fuses and label them Door, Diff, Power and Heater. I...

do I ditch the split rims?

I'm starting to appreciate the split rims now after watching the you tube videos and these comments. I like the idea of changing the tyres without fuss. I've read a safety pamphlet that recommends using a 3m long hose and standing far away when inflating which is sound advice. I can do that...

Just bought a Troopy in Peru

The garage that did the rust work sent me the before and after pictures. Looks like the roof gutter and window frames were rotten but not much else where. Those leaves look refurbished but I believe they are new. The troopy doesn't look this good underneath now, I'd best have it coated fast.
