Thanks! I’ll try again then. Didn’t want to risk damaging them if they weren’t meant to come apart. I’ve heard both positive and negative about Milner bushings, so I figured I’d try them and see. They’re cheap enough, that’s for sure. :)

On this ‘98 Land Cruiser 90 I consider there’s a hose that’s cut and blinded, but I’m not sure what for. The hose is bent and tied, and the ends are blinded with a wooden plug. See pictures below. What does this hose do, and any ideas why it’s blinded?
