Did you wedge it in there to free the threads off?

So in this crazy world i will identify as a Toyota for the future

Good progress! Not sure where you are based in the SW, but have driven past a place near to where I work that fit pop tops to vans, T Spoke Camper conversions, near Bristol airport.

They are supposedly pretty decent off road, along for the build!

Hi from the north of Germany - Land Cruiser 80

No,the gull wings came from this forum. Have a look in the group buy section. Starcruiser designed and built the first batches, but now has sold the design on to another forum member. Worth getting in contact to see if he is planning any more. I'll see if I'm in the country the same time, if I...

    Any manual grease gun recommendations?

Plus use the refill tubes of grease rather than messing about filling the gun up manually. I think you get less airlock this way. Plus more grease where you want it and not everywhere else!

    Project LC80

Hi, it was brilliant, I wrote a trip report on it. Loads of 4x4 tracks!!

Hi from the north of Germany - Land Cruiser 80

35s are fine for me, but I dont ho above 100kmh, normally about 90 is comfortable, plus the fuel consumption goes much higher if I go faster. Its lifted as well so never will be a great road car. I have a thicker ARB on the back from whiteline, I do have their front one too, but I havent...

Hi from the north of Germany - Land Cruiser 80

I have currently a home made set up for arches and mud flaps in one. They are a bit on the redneck side for me, Haha. But they are very flexible and do the job ‍♂️ Will check AAI out though. I have 2nd hand set of OEM flares in stock if I decide to go that route

    Overloading

How far is the drive and how likely are you to be pulled over? Doesnt sound like a massive amount.

Hi from the north of Germany - Land Cruiser 80

Same in the UK, tread has to be inside the arch. Mine is a narrow bodied one like yours is now, but I have after market arches. Cant decide to go to the OEM arches or go full narrow body look like yours. I like both!

Hi from the north of Germany - Land Cruiser 80

What set up do you have for your travels, do you sleep inside, or have a roof tent etc?

Hi from the north of Germany - Land Cruiser 80

Love the decals and style of your truck, looks awesome! Brilliant it gets used on some proper trips too What size tires do you have, are they inside the wheel arch with those wheels?

Splash Guards for inner front wheel arch / fender

Hello, and thank you for this Forum

Be great to restore and maybe recreate some of the trips that it did in the past!

    Portugal 2025

I do understand and agree with your sentiment. Luckily I think.places like Portugal are big enough, remote enough and that bit further away from larger cities that it will take a while before there are too many tourists here. I am glad that we have the opportunity to travel around a relatively...

    Rear Hub Axle Oil Seals

If you want to cut it off I have done similar with wheel bearing halves. Cut into it at an angle with a thin slitting disc once your most of the way through use a decent cold chisel to crack or at least expand the ring enough so it comes off

    Rear Hub Axle Oil Seals

Sorry, missed that, haha. I dont see why you should do any damage to the bearing at the kind of temperatures you will be heating it to

    Rear Hub Axle Oil Seals

What about heating it up and seeing if it will drop off that way?

    Portugal 2025

Day 8 Algarve race track to Azilheira We had a day off from driving and spent most of it down at Salema beach. Was less than 20 mins walk from the camp site. Which I would highly recommend to any one who is looking for a place to stay. Really nicely laid out, plenty of space and good food if...

What Are the Most Essential Upgrades for an 80 Series Used in Overlanding?

Was looking through the lists there that people have posted. Have done pretty much everything apart from front axle/diff rebuild. Are they particularly problematic? I've had front wheel bearings and hub swivel bearings done.

    Portugal 2025

Day 7 Pria do Amado to Sagres then, Bordeira to Ribeira de Odiaxere reservoir. The trails down to Sagres were very pleasant but nothing too taxing. The area around where we stayed the night is heaving with good trails in the forestry plantations, could spend days exploring. As we got closer to...
