Fob stopped working could it be something i did ?

Yeah thats what i meant , both fob and alarm are disabled because they think a door is open . Flickering dash warning because when i'm driving the loose connection gets rattled in and out of contact .

Landcruiser 80 wheel alignment toe in or dead straight

Aye a trick i learned a while back when i was swinging like an orangutan on a 3ft scaffold pole with the bar in a big steel vice for several hours trying and failing to move them at all . Found the washer tapped it in and watched penetrating oil vanish inside in an instant , a 17mm spanner was...

Landcruiser 80 wheel alignment toe in or dead straight

Well AI reckons - "For a Land Cruiser 80 series, the recommended toe-in setting is 1.5mm to 2.0mm total toe-in (or 0.06" to 0.08"). This means the front of the tires should be slightly closer together than the rear of the tires, with the total difference across both front wheels being within...

Fob stopped working could it be something i did ?

Thinking on this while buggering about with wheel alignment , it occurs to me that locking unlocking with the key several times the past few days I have not once heard the alarm which i'm sure happened whilst doing the same in the past

Fob stopped working could it be something i did ?

I've rebuild all my fobs one way or another , because i was changing the battery i swapped the case while i was at it , bought a few original as spares long ago . Finding that a paper punch gives you the perfect size to fit a bit of plastic inside the button rubber for better contact was a good...

Fob stopped working could it be something i did ?

Rewired the tow socket . Broke reverse cam wire so had radio out of dash . Drained 12v batteries so low they wouldn't start the truck . New battery in the fob .

    Any manual grease gun recommendations?

I went through a spell of buying crap ones and regretting it , spent enough to wish i'd bought a Milwaukee electric which are ace . Ended up with what i think is a Laser tools gun (its not on hand) which seems fairly robust enough to last a while .

    Failed M.O.T

Took it apart again today to clean up mashed wire ends and silicone seal it . Realized while at it that headlights not just sidelights need to be on for rear fogs to work which actually makes no difference when your working at the back of the truck so i bet i wasted a lot of time failing because...

    Prado intermittent NO START

Here's a simple suggestion because the only starting problem i ever had with my 1kz-te 90 was ultimately after much ado caused by a battery lead terminal which had been on and off the battery several times in the previous weeks , scrubbed up shiny and looking great when having failed in my...

No theres no pins to hold a fuse in that socket . Must be an inline fuse somewhere ? unless the jumper cable i put in my socket to get it working needs to go somewhere is . I just refitted the socket without jumper and everything works except the fog lights . Rain just started which is a...

Yeah I fitted a new socket not long ago which took me all day because the wires had rotted loose but no matter what I do I can’t get a reaction from the switch . No Fog fuse seems weird on a UK spec 80 ? I’ve taken the socket off and now no fog lights

    Prado intermittent NO START

Battery lead worn through making contact with metal before the starter is my guess because that had me stumped for ages on a boat where i couldn't see it until it actually burned through a steel oil pipe .

Does anyone have a spare 90 series back door (boot) lock ?

The culprit And she's been putting up with the rattle of back door being tied shut for months because the Isle of Man Government is several hundred years behind its nearest third world peer with regards to human rights .

Do I remove and keep the calipers upside-down when replacing brake fluid?

If the truck is new to you then its worth pointing out that despite not feeling it necessary rebuilding all 4 calipers on all three of my cruisers resulted in a significant improvement . Mind you i replaced all the discs with M-Tek drilled and slotted at the same time .
