Landcruiser 80 wheel alignment toe in or dead straight

Well AI reckons -

"For a Land Cruiser 80 series, the recommended toe-in setting is 1.5mm to 2.0mm total toe-in (or 0.06" to 0.08"). This means the front of the tires should be slightly closer together than the rear of the tires, with the total difference across both front wheels being within that specified range"

So if i'm to believe that each side toes in driving licence thickness .

Right now I'm making my alignment tool so any doubts please speak up quick

Aye a trick i learned a while back when i was swinging like an orangutan on a 3ft scaffold pole with the bar in a big steel vice for several hours trying and failing to move them at all .

Found the washer tapped it in and watched penetrating oil vanish inside in an instant , a 17mm spanner was enough to turn it after that .

My d.i.y alignment was a success i think steering feels much lighter and its not trying to pull me into the hedge . Only got up to 70 for a minute but all good given big tyres are unevenly worn .

Steering wheel will have to come off to straighten it another day .

When I has to fit a new ball joint on the rod to the Pitman arm I had to take the whole arm off and use some heat to free off both ends as they were TIGHT! Once freed I wound both ball joints fully in and out a few times smothered in marine grease. That was a few years ago and I can still turn the rod now with my hands when the clamps are loosened.
