1990 toyota landcruiser 2.5 vx diesel 3dr

Is this the "one" of the series to get or is there a better model/engine?

The wife has said she would drive it as a DD so we may go and have a look but I think its very expensive for what it is.

What would a good but fair price be for this if its as good as they say it is.

I have a bit of dislike of low mileage older vehicles; if you do go with it be prepared to replace any moving part! We had a 26yo FJ73 with 138,000km on it, and ended up having to fit a new water pump (failed), thermostat (broke, and got stuck), radiator (leaked/corrosion much later than the thermostat), brake booster (failed on the freeway, just before my 3km drive down hill to get home!) and exhaust (corrosion).

With the LJ70 there are some issues re the head's, and I'm sure some of the others will explain more.

I assume this is not the TD model and so have my doubts as to if its the right or best engine to go for.
