As above, 5x 255 85 16 KM2's for sale. These are like new with 13+mm on them with one at 14mm. I have done one journey to South Shields on them and one to Lincomb.

I can get them fitted on rims and balanced in with the price.

£600. (A lot cheaper than new)

Lol .. i'm very tempted as an upgrade to the current ones. I think Sarah would kill me if I made her take another trip to yours to collect tyres though.

In fairness Grant they are a world apart from the older style. I have a set of 285's coming up after these have moved but I did mention them to Rob last Lincombe.

Hmmm just so I am clear these are the same size as 285/75/16 only skinnier if I'm correct??

They are slightly taller than a 285. If you search my Swampy thread there's a photo of them both stood next to one another with a level across them. It's so marginal that you could make one or the other taller dependant upon what width wheels you fitted them to. In terms of hard figures the 255's are taller :)

These are not quite 33" tall until they are on wheels and inflated.

They are slightly taller than 285's though.
Stu is running these on his 80 and his comments would be appreciated.

This of course make no allowance for how these tyre sizes are effected by rim width & inflation pressure :D

Andy, the LC is now at the bottom of my money spending priorities. Besides seem to get many places on my very worn ATs which surprise me and others. I will be cursing next Lincomb but I will pass on both sizes.

Thanks for that Rob, I was referring to our last conversation, however I do want to move the 255's first.

i do have these on my 80 and am very happy. i run them at 40 psi and return around 2y 5-26 mpg on a 12v man. they go any ware you point them i really think they are a great alround tyre. mine are wearing very well i have done about 12k on them so far and still like new. my only gripe is if they are low in pressure on the road like 28-30 psi they dont feel very nice and wobble a bit. but yousoon realise and pu mp up. i dont air down on lanes as i would rather not get puntures and have not got stuck yet.
top tyres
