I am looking for the best replacement; carburetor, intake/exhaust manifold, distributor .... and other 'ideas' on modifications i should consider including. I am also planning to replace the wiring bundles. Also wondering about best coatings for the 'old painted' roll bar, lets say... powder coat for example

Thanks Aengus

Welcome to the club. Looking forward to your introduction. In the introduction thread?

Introduction?... hmmmm, I became a land cruiser fan back in 77' when a friend of mine drove up in a topless green FJ40... I was hooked and had to have one... Drove my 77' for years - 'Rat patrol' style - no mater what the weather... that did not agree with my 'desert truck'. So now intend to spoil my self with a new updated cruiser. My Body/engine/transmission work is done. I am in the 'build up' stage and want the latest equipment i can get. As a side note i recently watched a program called 'How its made' and this particular episode was about a new company that was producing a new four wheel drive vehicle...Which had an uncanny resemblance to the FJ40. I would speculate they bought the equipment from Toyota and are now producing a new custom vehicle.... So i figured there must be some nice upgrades available and i figured this was the place to find out about it... :)

Excellent. Now that IS a good intro.

Good Day Cruisers... :) Is there an aftermarket fuel injection system + manifold for the straight 6?

I was wondering if i could get any reviews on a company called 'Classic Cruisers' of Salida Co?

No reviews but I found this youtube of their yard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMztvL2GrAE

For wiring and generally great look at:

For 'F' engine upgrades look at sor.com & http://coolfj40.stores.yahoo.net/

Hope that helps
