I have a fuel leak from the side of my pump I believe it’s coming from my cold start bit . Is it a good idea too have it blanked or would it be better too replace it, I use the truck daily for work so need it on the road really.
If blanking it is the better option is there anyone who makes the kits in the uk

Cheers
Will

The blank has a bosch part number, as its used to blank new pumps. You’ll also have to bypass the water hoses.

The leak is almost certainly the O ring on the ACSD shaft and is easy to replace once you've got the unit off.
Alternatively, as Dave has suggested it can be blanked off. I think the blanking place is used on many different pumps as I got one FOC from a local diesel pump specialist when I described my problem. I actually repaired the unit with a new O ring but decided not to refit it. Cold starts just require manually raising the idle slightly with the hand throttle for a few minutes. You could even make one if necessary......

ACSD Removal

Toyota part numbers for the blanking cover 22612-17840 and 22193-17840 for the O ring. Approx £15 3 years ago.
