Hey, the abs lamp is on, lighting orange in my dash (not red), Im thinking it might be a sensor or something of the like. It is a 1996-1999 model somewhere and has the toyota diagnostics port instead of the obd-2, Anyone know how to diagnose whats actually wrong? Btw The light is not always on, its fine sometimes and other times its on, also sometimes its off and turns on when driving normally

Most likely a wheel speed sensor not giving the right pulses. This could be because of a loose wheel bearing, or that the notched ring is full of rust or debris.

where are those rings located? easy to access?

@gorbilly hopefully these snapshots will help...

Clean the wheel sensors before you worry about anything else , its one bolt each but your best to hit it with some penetrating oil the night before you try to remove it .

The wire will lead you to it but for vague reference

Do you have a towbar with towing electrics? Both corrosion in a tow socket, and corroded lower bumper lights can cause a short from the brake to tail positive wires and throw up the ABS light. It goes out again when the ignition is off, and may not turn on for a while when running. Commonly the earth connection on the brake/tail of the lower lights rusts off completely
