[ADMIN] Message formatting and Quoting

Morning All,
I have recently had a couple of complaints about emails being sent to
the list in HTML format.
This makes a bit of a mess of the digest and also results in a lot
bigger messages.
Most mail packages should have an option to send messages in plain text
only - if you are using either Outlook or Outlook Express add the ELCO
list address ([Email address removed]) to your address book and then
tick the box to send in Plain Text only.
Doing this will ensure that any message you send to the list will go in
text format.
One final point, when replying to a message on the list, please try to
avoid quoting the whole of the message that you are replying to - only
ever quote the relevent bits you are responding to. This also cuts
down on the size of the messages and makes it easier to follow the
digest.
Many thanks to all.
