What's the best way to hide this wire from the reversing camera? I have done a quick lash up to get it connected?

I would remove the trim panel on the windscreen vertical post and run the cable from under the dash up the post, I would then find a way to get access above the head liner and run the cable to the sun roof control panel and from there to the mirror.

Start by removing the grab handles and the door trim and the sun visor, then see what else is holding everything in place.

Additionally you can use a wire coat hanger to pull the cable through or to "fish" for the cable.

Thats where I would start, I hope this helps you out lol

Julian.

have you information on the reversing camera?

my gfs rav 4 has a factory reversing camera that appears in the rear view mirror in colour when reverse is selected.

was toying with sourcing one off a scrapper. not yet ready for immersing myself (again), in weeks of head scratching at the moment though..

Thanks Julian, will give that a go, had pulled down the head liner at the back of the LandCruiser but it didn't seem like moving at the front!!

This is the 1 I got, not sure I would get the twin cam again or maybe would mount it somewhere different. One camera is good the other is too close range and if you point it down you only have a view of the rear tyre on the carrier! Although if you point it at the road behind say where a car would sit in a traffic jam, you get a good view of them, sometimes useful ;-)

So got the wire routed up the pillar then under the headlining to the central console.
The jump from pillar to head lining is a bit messy
