Hi

my alternator behaves bad, since im looking to get replaced anyways can i just think ahead and upgrade it to higher amp ? where to get it? bosch is the reliable choice? this is what i have been offered:
BOSCH 098604589114V 70A
0 986 045 891 BOSCH
http://www.buycarparts.co.uk/BOSCH/1159079

it is because i will have a fridge etc. and just wanna have more reliability...

battery i have is Varta 95AH 830A good enough? any more reliable choice?
i have space for 2nd battery. do you recommend to have 2 batteries? which 2 i should have? which alternator i should get with higheramp? anything else should i be aware ?

sorry for wasting your time. many thanks for any replies.

Varta are popular on here and some 90 series came with 2 batteries from new though i don't think there is any need of the extra with a standard set up .

I'm sure when i got my d4d 90 alternator from roughtrax higher than standard spec was stated ?

Adding a second battery for fridges etc usually involves a leisure battery and split charge system .
