just wondering if i claim on my aa breakdown cover or put my hand in my pocket

got breakdown repair cover and my radiator has started to leak

just wondering if they will cover a radiator ?

If it's standard "breakdown recovery" cover then I doubt they will - though I'm sure they may recover you home if necessary.

If it's some sort of "mechanical warranty" cover (do the AA do that?) then it may be a different story.

I had to claim on with the RAC for an alternator, they do not cover the parts but do fit it as part of the service.
The following year I got a decent discount on renewal because I had a year of no claims. If you use them to get home when you could actually make it home, it's not really worth it.

The breakdown repair cover is

IF YOUR VEHICLE IS IN A BREAKDOWN SITUATION
The AA will pay PARTS & LABOUR upto £500
6 claims aloud per year and upto 3 vehicles covered

AA cover Costs me £240 per year for 3 vehicles includes Home start , Relay , Relay plus , and the Breakdown repair cover

just wondering if anyone who has this cover has ever gotten a radiator

Had the cover for 6 years now
had claims for

CV joints , on my old cruiser
Starter motor , battery .... mitsubishi EVO starter was £455
cambelt tensioner , headgasket ..... shogun sport lpg
clutch slave cylinder , clutch , engine mount ..... VECTRA
clutch slave and master cylinder ..... FRONTERA

Yes Geordie boy, that should be covered
You will need to call out AA as a breakdown, tell them its a fluid leak.
When patrol arrives, he will decide if he wants/can source a part and fit, or whether it needs to go to a garage for replacement.
On arrival at a VAT registered garage, they will need top contact AA with estimate to repair and theywill give answer over the phone there and then.

Best regards
Alan

It'l be going to MR TOYOTA
if im not paying only the best for my baby
phoned Toyota today £525 fully fitted
phoned my local parts supplier £300 + vat so £360 +antifreeze + fitting at a garage

if i was paying i'd fit myself :D

one claim every 2 years and it pays for itself
As it stands i have on average 2 claims per year

Next you will be telling us you have two claims a year on your house insurance too

You can claim up to 5 times a year and AA pay up to £500, you pay the first £35.00.
