ATF fluid replacement on 80

I'm just about to change the fluid on my 80 auto as the shift can be a bit
jerky at low speed.
Today's dumb question, however, is where the hell do you put it back in? Mr
Haynes says through the filler tube. So is there a sneaky tip to it, or is
it just a funnel and patience job?
Regards

Funnel and patience job. Make sure you measure the amount you get out of the
gearbox so you can replace with the same amount of new. Not a good idea to
have tooo much oil in there.
Filling is slowwwww. Perhaps best if one person holds the funnel and another
pours

Hi Neill
The sad thing is you will only get about 5 litres out so maybe a good idea
to repeat the process again twice more.
That way you have nearly all new fluid in the box which can only be good.
