auto gearbox on 24valves

OK guys
if the intercooler is not an issue for the CO2 how about fixing an
auto gearbox on that car? Neill did not believe 'the emission excuse'
and I'm pissed off
that manual gearbox with a nasty second gear and 3rd you always doubt
you'll go into...I only once had seen an add in Germany for '96 24
valves with
auto gearbox so there is someone driving with it. Will it be
difficult to mount that on the car?when I calculate a rebuild manual
gearbox is sold for 1200
BP(and what worries me is that I might have the same problems-many of
you complained about those boxes )and then it will cost me with new
clutch extra 650BP so maybe an auto gearbox could be better solution?
cheers

Don=B9t even think about it unless you=B9re really into rebuilding cars for fun.
If you had to pay someone to do it, the bill would be a big one as there=B9s
bound to be something lurking with a hidden expense.
