Hy all,
Anyone running B.F.Goodrich 285/75/16 A/T. tires on an 80 ?
If so, what sort of pressure are you using on tarmac, assuming normal load
(that is not loaded for an expedition other than to the shops)?
I am assuming somwhere near 32 p.s.i. but the sidewalls look a little soft
at this pressure. Seems to ride O.K. though.

Mik,
I am running these tyres. I phoned the UK goodrich agent and they
told me that these tyres are close to truck tyres and reccomended 40
PSI. They also guessed, correctly, that the standard was 32 PSI.
Running 40 is OK.
Regards, Clive.

Mike - I have been running these for just over 2 years - 31,000+ miles.
I initially ran at 32 psi - but now run them at 40 psi . No detriment to
wear rate, through the bends it is a bit better. Ride quality
marginally harsher.

I run mine at 32.
Tried higher for fuel consumption but the ride gets very harsh

Hey Clive,
Thanks a lot, I'll give it a try at 40 p.s.i.
Like I said, it looks a little soft at 32.but seems to run
O.K.
Whilst we're on the subject, (I don't want to start or
re-start a massive tire debate here) what is your opinion
of these tires?
My initial impression is good, but they do seem to
increase 'wander' in the steering a little.
Perhaps when I get 'em up to 40 p.s.i. It'll sort itself.

Mik,
I would get the tyres again, my son has the same on his cruiser.
Mine have been to Russia in Feb. and done OK. I don't have a problem
with wander but this can be caused by lifting. Is your cruiser lifted?
Regards, Clive.
