BJ40 - 1979 The Yuri

Lovely. That's an absolute classic.

Welcome to the forum.

Could you add a location into your side bar so we can see where you are?

Agree with you, coolcruisers shipping costs are too high.
BUT

If you have DHL in whatever country you are in then you should be able to create a BorderLinx account (search under BorderLinx) and that gives you a US postal address (for onward shipping to you) and means CCoT shipping costs are just in USA. Obviously you then pay for DHL/BorderLinx shipping and any duties.

CCoT quoted me $500 shipping on a $275 order. After giving them a BorderLinx address in USA the CCoT shipping costs became $23. Obviously it then cost to get them to UK but even with duty and vat that was less than £100.

There are always round problems

Hope that helps,
Regards,

Looks lovely man... Where are you based. I would like to come and see as i am going to start the restoration of my BJ40 Soon when i find some one that can do it...

Can you get body parts from the UK ?

Body parts in the UK? very occasionally if you are really lucky. At best you might find a pair of doors but mostly no chance.
But there are a couple of companies in france - one does glassfibre panels and the other metal. A company in germany does various panels.
i'll lookup their website addresses over next couple of days and post it for you.
How bad is your BJ40? Pictures please.

Regards,

Ok here's a list of European emporiums that might help with body parts:

RV4WD http://www.rv4wd.nl/
Megastore4x4 http://www.megastore4x4.com/

Least I think they are all European.
Also check out Pilgrim at www.toyotona.com he is an Englishman based in Costa Rica and makes body parts for CCOT.

I haven't dealt with any of these companies except Euro4x4 and they are excellent, mainly cos I rebuilt all my panels etc..
Most of this information is courtesy the Lcoc.ie (LC club in Eire)
Hope that helps

Just been reading on www.lcoc.ie - if you are after 40 body parts join that forum and pm Corglass. He brought a container in from Pilgrim. how much he has left I don't know but worth a try - e.g. there's mention of a rear tub at E1800
