Replaced the front pads today, incerdibly simple!

I used Toyota pads from Roughtrax. They are non vented, I also thought it odd they didnt have a chamfered (spelling?) edge, the ones I took off were vented pads with a sloped leading/rear edge.

Backs tomorrow if its dry!

Out of interest, is it normal for the brakes to feel different after a change, there feels to be a little more travel with the new pads. Can always look at bleeding them once all done, but just wondered if it was normal, maybe the new pads wearing in or something.

Cheers

Cool, thanks.

I'm glad I did the swap, the old pads had about 4 to 5mm left, but the contact was at the bottom of the vent, so the warning light was about 2mm away.

On the Toyota pads the contact is about 1mm from the base plate, so they will need changing as soon as the light comes on.

Cheers
