has absolutely nothing to do with landcruisers. 
but im pleased with how its turned out, and wanted to show what ive been making. 
im employed as a carpenter, but seem to find myself doing an increasing amount of metal fabrication, which i like as it makes a change from being on building sites doing wood work.
my boss printed off an ebay add for a hopper for filling ton bags a few weeks ago, and said i want you to build me one of these.
so after lots of measuring of pallets, ton bags, and the bobcat bucket, i did a list and we got the steel on the next delivery we were having from the stockholders.
had a few days this week in the workshop, cutting all the steel up with an angle grinder and cut off saw, then welded it all together. only specialist tool i used apart from the welder, was the mag drill.
cut and bent some 22mm bar and tack welded it in place.
the bag fitted perfectly. after testing it would work when filling the bags, i fully welded them in place.
welded on some pieces of angle, and flat, so stop it slipping off the forks while being moved around.
so i took it out to the yard for testing today.
about to tip a full bucket of sand.
another bucket full later, and the bag was full.
it was then just a matter of using the forks to move the pallet, and full bag from under the hopper.
just need to give it a paint now.
will speed things up massively, when we need to fill ton bags with building aggregates ready to go out on site.
