get the spares couriered from sa by dhl or someone similar if you cannot find
them here. quick, simple but maybe more expensive.

Go to a bearing retailer with the old one, or the good one from the
other side, some of the manufacturers produce equivalent books
matching their bearings with other suppliers and it should be easy to
match.

thanks for the advice. i've sent him the following:
good afternoon:
look on the side of the bearing.
in small letters stamped onto the race (got to punch out :) ) - is the
id/od/ and a bunch more stuff.
go to your main bearing supplier and get the same unit.
same with the oil seal.
if you don't come right with that, and you are willing to pay the freight
and cost of parts, we can organized that one is shipped from sa to the uk
for you.
next question front or rear axle?
you should however, be able to come right there. don't go to toyota, but
rather punch out the seal and bearing/race and copy down the #'s.

as others have written, a regular bearing factor will immediately
supply replacements of equal quality i am sure.
but for others who have an unusual model away from its home of
manufacture (mine included). never ever underestimate the strength
and diligence of the toyota supply chain wherever you are. giving the
frame number to any official toy dealer is all you need to do to
acquire parts in the minimum of time.
topical for me cos a week last friday i ordered an exhaust front
downpipe from eagell in milton keynes. it was ready for collection at
9.00 on the following tuesday morning having been sourced through
toy belgium.
i know of no other 80 in the uk with the 1hz engine, sure there may
be a few, though they were made for the oz market. but toy will
deliver the parts rapidly whatever model one has.
i got 10% discount for being an aid worker too - and no, i didn't ask
for it ! :)
sorry if i am late posting but i am catching-up having just returned to the uk.
cheers
