That could be at least 3 different models of LC.
Would you require the 70 series, 90 series or 100 series Cruiser?
Since you mention 1998 (or later), I'm guessing you mean the 100 series
which was introduced that year (taking over for the 80 series).

Ignoring the fact the enquiry says 1898, think that's even before the BJ25,
I think your right 100 series.
Maureen, when you say anywhere to you mean Europe? If I were you I would
check on forum at www.ih8mud.com and see if any Canadians have ideas about
importers.
(BTW, very strange that Toyota don't sell the Land Cruiser in Canada, anyone
know why?)

Dear Uhu.
Ah, my partner had not provided me with all the info. Need 94-97,6 cylinder, diesel, manual, left hand drive. Unfortunately the later models are charged exorbitant custom and taxes.

Dear Malcolm:
We need the Landcruisers to ship to Ethiopia. So by anywhere in Europe, it will be cheaper than finding and shipping in North America. Besides, Americans don't drive too many diesel manuals!
We may be faced with buying a RHD and getting it converted, but are unsure if British mechanics can do this. It sure cannot be done in Ethiopia!
Thanks for replying.

British mechanics would be happy to do this - over here we still
remember something about making cars. But the job could cost you as
much as the value of the car.

Maureen,
Thanks for the extra information. I don't think conversion RHD to LHD is
likely to be feasible, in the UK or elsewhere.

That's another way of putting it - I suppose with enough money anything like
that can be done. With the parts you might even be able to get mechanics in
Ethiopia to do it.

The question is still:
Which one would you like, the 70 (76-77), 80 or 90 series? They where all
produced in 1994-97.
The 70 is much used i Africa, as a (short, medium or long) pick-up, a
"troopy" or even a Station Wagon, and is very sturdy and easy to maintain.
The 80 is as sturdy, but smoother. Comes as a Station Wagon with 2, 3, 5,
6, 8 or 10 seats.
The 90, also known as a Prado, is a Medium Duty Wagon, but still a
Landcruiser.
