Hi Clive
Have you been hiding, long time no hear.
The bits are steel, or tin but not cast iron like from a tin can.
cheers

John,
Just keeping a lower profile, working Six days a week until Xmas.
So the bits are steel, that rules out a lot of the stuff in the
diff. They are so thin if like a tin can that they are not from any
major part. They could be part of a shim or thin spacer that has
caught on the edge and torn. Are the front and back of the larger
pieces smooth and shiny?, or do they look as if they have been torn
off.
Regards,

Hi Clive
Nice to hear from you.
The pieces are smooth and shiny and they could have been torn but they are
crunched like they went through the teeth or something like that..
If it is a shim or washer surely that means that things are going to be
loose or wobbly does it not.
I have a magnetic plug and that seems to have caught the pieces, but there
are others hiding in there.
The thing is I don't know how long the pieces are there, could be after the
weekend or could just as well be over a year ago.
cheers
